Ancient Rome is where Italy is today, Rome has the Tiber river running through it. Rome was formed in 733BC by Romulus, It became an empire in the 8th centry BC. The Ruler was a king until 509BC when he got kicked out, then Rome was made into a republic and people were elected to govern.
Rome was the first republic until 27AD. Julius Caesar became the ruler of the republic for 5 years before Octavian assonated Caesar and became the first emperor of Rome and brought peace to all parts of Rome. You will find there are still building form from Rome still standing today.
